Limassol, 6 March 2013. 210 delegates of 137 companies from 37 countries attended euroPLX 51 Limassol which took place in the Amathus Beach Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. The euroPLX scheduling system met 88% of the delegates' requests for face-to-face meetings, resulting in an average of 25 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings per company.

The 50th euroPLX Meeting which was held on 5 and 6 November 2012 in Sorrento, Italy, marks an important milestone for euroPLX, the global platform for partnering deals in the pharmaceutical industry. It made euroPLX the most often held partnering event in this industry.

With 150 attending delegates from 36 countries and five continents it is also one of the most international partnering conferences. For the first time, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, and Thailand were represented.

What is more important in the eyes of participants, however, is the high number of pre-scheduled appointments per company. euroPLX 50 Sorrento delivered an average of 23.6 pre-scheduled appointments per company and met 89.0% of all appointment requests, a benchmark for partnering conferences.

Says Dr. Norbert Rau, owner of RauCon business development, the organisers of euroPLX: "A conference's total number of scheduled one-on-one appointments is often bragged about, but entirely irrelevant for the individual participant. Only the number of appointments that have actually been scheduled for the individual participant counts. The more appointments for him or her, the larger the probability of landing a partnering deal. The euroPLX pharma business development platform (www.europlx.com) is preparing to celebrate its 50th partnering conference on 5 and 6 November 2012 in Sorrento, Italy. Currently held three times a year, euroPLX has been held for the first time in 1995 as the first no-lectures, no-presentations business partnering conference of the life science and pharmaceutical industry worldwide.

Says Dr. Norbert Rau, co-initiator of euroPLX: "No other pharma or biotech partnering conference has been held as often as euroPLX. An average of almost 24 pre-scheduled one-to-one appointments per attending company on 5 and 6 March 2012 supports the reputation of euroPLX Meetings as being more productive than most other partnering conferences.

"Partnering event productivity is measured by business negotiations per company, not by the total number of scheduled face-to-face meetings. The total number does not say anything about the benefit for the customer. From 1995 to 2011 more than 100 companies attended from 10 to 33 euroPLX Meetings. Among those that have had delegates at more than 30 euroPLX Meetings were Dr. Kade Pharm.
