RauCon Marketplace Events Defy all Forecasts
Heidelberg (Germany), 16 March 2021. Disagreeing with the Meetings Industry Association (mia) and other organisations' forecast earlier this month that it could take until at least 2023 for business meetings and events to return to pre-CoViD levels, RauCon GmbH & Co. KG has demonstrated that conventional event thinking does not help in this situation. The Heidelberg, Germany, based company has pulled out all the stops to design a new business meeting concept. It is flexible enough to enable business development executives to meet, discuss opportunities, and negotiate notwithstanding lockdown or travel restrictions.
After two test runs in September and November the final version of its „Marketplace for Pharma Business Opportunities“ that is open all March logged 1,965 fixed digital business meetings at half time for more than 240 pharma business development executives from all over the world. The organisers expect more than twice this number by end of March.
Drawing on more than 25 years of partnering experience, the Marketplaces for Pharma Business Opportunities are pharma business development events which feature separate on-site and online meeting days. Participants decide in a most flexible way which ones they prefer to use, switch to video or back, re-arrange fixed dates, arrange alternative, additional or follow-up business meetings and control the entire process by means of completely new user account tools.
Says Dr. Norbert Rau, Co-founder and New Projects Advisor of the company: „Our customers were much concerned about the uncertainty around future restrictions which hampered all business development activities, but now not anymore“. And RauCon's Managing Director, Stefan Hilscher, adds: „If your customers are from 86 countries all of which issue new corona directives on a weekly basis, you got to provide a powerful and very flexible system for them to do their jobs. And you got to do it fast and better than anyone else.“
